Since joining the multinational BMG Music Spain in 1997, David’s entire professional career has revolved around the music business. Throughout these years he has been able to play different roles and interact with all kinds of agents, which has given him a global vision of the sector and the value that music brings to society as a whole.
As a music industry professional, he worked as a label manager and local and international product manager for various record labels and digital content companies, before founding his own integrated label in 2003. Subsequently, he has worked as a strategic consultant for the culture and creative industries departments of the governments of Chile and Uruguay, as well as a business development consultant for leading music technology startups worldwide.
In the field of education, he has designed programmes and courses on music business for the Pompeu Fabra University, Berklee College of Music, ESMUC and the Alberto Hurtado University (Chile).
