Born in China, Taoyi Wu is a music lover with international taste. As a follower of genres such as K-pop, Latin, Afrobeat, Arabic, and even Russian music, he keeps trying out new styles of music so as to better understand world cultures.
Taoyi moved to Barcelona in 2019 to study his first Master’s degree in Hispanic Linguistics, Spanish Literature and Spanish as a Foreign Language at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. But due to his interest in the entertainment industry and the expansion of the Asian music market, he decided to orient his career path towards the music business and study the Master Plus in Music Business Management and Entrepreneurship at IMB School. During his studying period, he held the position of Director of Administration and Finance of IMB Label and IMB Festival. Thanks to this real-life experience, his passion for Admin in the music industry was awakened. In addition to this, he wants to contribute to boosting connections between artists and companies with the Asian market, in particular the Chinese market.
Finally, and what is well known to everyone, dance and music are never far apart! Taoyi is a ballroom (Latin) dancer. In his spare time, he continues to compete in Spanish national competitions in which he stands out as a non-national.
