DAVID LOSCOS
FOUNDER & STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS
David has been professionalising the music industry through education for over 20 years. In 2004, along with UPF he launched the first postgraduate diploma in music business management in Spanish. Since then, he has led music business programmes at renowned international institutions and universities, catering to creators, managers, and project leaders.
As an industry expert, David specialised in the record business, working as a label manager and product manager at major record companies before founding his own label. He has also worked as a strategic consultant for the cultural and creative industries departments of the governments of Chile and Uruguay, as well as various institutions in Spain.
He is currently focused on strengthening IMB School’s ties with the music ecosystem and solidifying its reputation as a leading institution in the field.
JAUME COLOMER
FOUNDER & PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
Jaume is a musician-entrepreneur with a strong background in innovation, entrepreneurship, and the music business. During his first five years at IMB School, he worked as Executive Director and developed innovative learning methodologies for most of the school’s programmes. He is currently focused on creating new online training solutions for those within the music ecosystem.
As an educator, Jaume has designed music business courses for various renowned educational institutions. In his professional industry career, he has worked in production for Sónar+D and managed the careers of prominent artists such as Descemer Bueno, known for “Bailando” and “Súbeme La Radio,” among other hits.
In addition, Jaume has launched several business ventures in the recorded music industry and in the field of copyright.
EULÀLIA RÀFOLS
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Eulàlia has been the Executive Director at IMB School since 2023. She also works as a trainer and consultant for artists within the music industry.
Her journey in the music sector began in 2010 at the digital distributor The Orchard, where she held various roles in Label & Artist Management, Artist Development, and Content Acquisition. Eulàlia was appointed Co-Director for Spain and Portugal in 2017, a position she held until 2022.
In the same year, she decided to shift her career towards education, joining IMB School as Director of the Postgraduate Programme in Music Business Entrepreneurship. Previously, she had participated as a speaker in various music business training programmes for institutions such as Universitat Pompeu Fabra, SAE, Fundación Paideia, EUMES, and Cases de la Música, among others.
SANDY VERA
MUSIC BUSINESS MANAGEMENT PROGRAMMES DIRECTOR
Sandy has a strong background in music, beginning her studies in Quito, Ecuador, and completing her education in Vocal Performance and Music Composition, followed by Music Therapy, at Berklee College of Music. Throughout her career, she has also taught music and piano.
She expanded her profile by working in the financial industry in the United States, where she specialised in the needs of the Hispanic community in Oklahoma City. She collaborated with institutions such as True Sky Credit Union and Allegiance Credit Union, where she developed real estate programmes aimed at the Hispanic market.
In 2022, she decided to study at IMB School to merge these two fields, which led her to join the team in 2024 initially as a Coordinator and, since 2026, as the Music Business Management Programmes Director. Additionally, she advises developing artistic projects alongside other colleagues from the Master’s
EKATERINA BAZHANOVA
MUSIC BUSINESS MINDSET & ENTREPREURSHIP PROGRAMMES DIRECTOR
Ekaterina is a prominent professional in the music industry with over 15 years of experience in artist management, television production, and festival organisation. She began her career as a booker for international artists and project manager at one of Moscow’s leading agencies, and in 2010, she became an independent manager, collaborating with artists such as Dimash Qudaibergen, Iva, and Naadia.
In 2015, she founded MDR, a company that initially focused on artist management but has since expanded to cover more than 10 areas of the music business, including distribution and events, with offices in Moscow, Barcelona, and Dubai.
From 2018 to 2021, she curated the Music Business programme at Moscow Music School (Universal University).
Ekaterina is a regular speaker at global music conferences, including BIME, Mastering Music Business, and Tallinn Music Week.
JOSE ALONSO PALMA
MASTER IN MUSIC BUSINESS MANAGEMENT MANAGER BARCELONA
Jose Alonso Palma, also known as Panda, began his musical journey at an early age through the guitar. This led him to explore various genres and styles with different musical groups, helping him build a strong foundation for understanding the music industry and eventually breaking into it.
He got a degree in Communications in Lima, Peru, and specialised in digital marketing, designing and executing online communication strategies for a variety of brands.
In 2022, he deepened his knowledge of the music industry by completing the Master Plus in Music Business Management at IMB School. As a result, he went on to work as Marketing and Operations Manager at the Berlin-based music curation platform DailyPlaylists until 2025.
Since June 2025, he has held the position of Manager of the Master in Music Business Management Barcelona. In parallel, he mentors and leads emerging music projects — both his own and those of others — with a focus on musical composition, release strategy, and branding.
ANDREA DÍAZ
MASTER IN MUSIC BUSINESS MANAGEMENT
MANAGER MADRID
Andrea developed her relationship with music from a very young age through singing and songwriting, alongside her academic and professional career in social and cultural education. Her passion for music creation led her to shift her career path, training at Taller de Músics, a prestigious music school in Barcelona, and later at EUMES music school in Girona, where she graduated in Music Production, Advanced Music, and Sound, specialising in the music industry during the third year of her diploma.
Since then, she has built a profile in both the technical and creative fields, working as a music producer and guiding emerging artists through the development of their projects. Her experience also extends to other creative sectors such as that of fashion, having taken part in two editions of 080 Barcelona Fashion as head of music production for various catwalk shows.
In 2025, she expanded her training into music management and business by completing the Master’s in Music Business Management at IMB School. In parallel, she continues to develop her own artistic project and collaborate on initiatives linked to production, communication, and music creation.
In 2026, she joined the IMB School team as Master in Music Business Management Manager Madrid, following several years of experience in communication, event production, and project guidance within the cultural sector.
ARNAU SABATÉ
BUSINESS PLANNING DIRECTOR
Arnau Sabaté was born in Lleida in 1984. He is an entrepreneur and executive in the music industry with extensive experience in the music sector.
His specialties are business development, strategy, and marketing. Arnau has worked for Primavera Sound, Jägermusic, and Discogs, among others.
Co-founder of the Web3 start-ups GUZZU and Vitamin 3, he currently combines business development consultancy for Revelator, curatorial work for the iconic Sala La Paloma in Barcelona, and teaching roles in the music industry, which include leading the Business Planning Module at IMB School.
ISABEL IGLESIAS
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR
Isabel is a Human Resources Consultant with expertise in talent management, employability, and professional development. Throughout her career, she has worked both in HR leadership roles and in consultancy, offering support in recruitment, talent development, competency-based management, employer branding, and the transformation of the people function.
She also brings extensive experience in career guidance and employability, helping professionals enhance their market positioning, navigate job search processes, and secure new career opportunities.
She is currently the Director of Sirania Recursos Humanos and she combines her consultancy work with lecturing at universities and business schools, specialising in HR, recruitment, employability, digital transformation, and AI applied to talent management.
EVA VÁZQUEZ
TRAINING ADVISOR & COMMS MANAGER
Eva Vázquez serves as the Training Advisor, providing academic guidance, and is responsible for communications and social networks at IMB School. She is an expert in digital content and communication.
During her undergraduate studies in Audiovisual Communication and her master’s degree in Mobile Communication and Digital Content, she began channeling her interest in the music industry by focusing her academic projects on researching music consumption habits and the global expansion of the K-pop phenomenon. At the same time, she has been involved in promoting and organising events and concerts to spread Asian music in Spain.
Her passion for the sector led her to specialise in Music Business through IMB School. She joined the team as an academic advisor and communications manager in 2022.
TAOYI WU
STUDENT RELATIONS & CAREERS MANAGER
Born in China, Taoyi Wu is a music lover with an international taste for genres ranging from Latin and Afrobeat to Arabic and Russian music, constantly exploring new styles to better understand different cultures.
In 2019, Taoyi moved to Barcelona to pursue his first master’s degree in Hispanic Linguistics, Spanish Literature, and Spanish as a Foreign Language at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. His passion for the entertainment industry led him to shift his career towards the music business, enrolling in the Master Plus in Music Business Management and Entrepreneurship at IMB School. There, he worked as Director of Administration and Finance at IMB Label and IMB Festival, where he discovered his passion for administration.
In his free time, Taoyi is a competitive ballroom dancer, travelling across Spain and excelling in competitions as a foreign participant.
POLINA PORVINA
ED TECH OPERATIONS MANAGER
Polina grew up surrounded by music, although her career began in the beauty and fashion industries before transitioning to music as Head of Public Relations at an independent label. Later, as Label Manager, she oversaw the entire release cycle, from securing licences to coordinating digital campaigns. Her interests extend beyond music into academic research, where she explores the global music business, local cultural clusters, and public-private collaborations.
Since joining IMB School in 2022, Polina has managed the school’s LMS platforms, coordinating the development of its online learning systems and e-learning content.
Maka Penny
INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER & GROWTH AT SELF-PACED TRAINING
Maka is an Experience Designer with over 10 years of experience in the music industry and education sector. She has worked as an artist manager and in international touring, supporting the strategic development of projects and careers across local and international contexts. She holds a Master’s in Customer Experience & Innovation from IE University and has participated as a speaker at many music industry conferences.
Throughout her career, she has led a number of events and experiences for audiences of up to 70,000 people, built strategic partnerships and coordinated multidisciplinary teams. She has also collaborated with Peru’s Ministry of Culture as a jury member for the International Circulation for the Arts programme.
